The people side of the work: a Final Fantasy XIV Free Company, a social club for Toronto's anime fans, the city's TFT community, and the orchestra I help run in the Bay Area.
I've played Final Fantasy XIV since A Realm Reborn. In March 2020, a few friends I'd met in another Free Company and I started our own: a laid-back, inclusive place to hang out, which grew into the biggest Free Company on Cactuar.
I organized and ran our events, helped with recruiting, kept our Discord and its bots running, and built our website. When I wasn't running events, I was raiding high-end content as a Machinist and chasing parses.

Aetherflow Media
Aetherflow was a fan magazine about Final Fantasy XIV, published from 2018 to 2021. I reviewed articles behind the scenes for grammar and prose before each issue went out.
TASH, Toronto Anime Social Hangouts, brings the city's anime fans together in person. From summer 2022 to fall 2024 I organized events for the group, usually karaoke nights, board game meetups and photowalks, and I photographed its gatherings.
Yacht Party: Civil War
For one party, TASH rented two yachts. I photographed everyone on board, one yacht per row. It's my favorite picture from those years.

Brady Potter
In August 2023 I co-founded Toronto TFT with Brady Potter as a home for the city's Teamfight Tactics players: the first city-based TFT community, and the biggest. The first event was a 10-person hangout at Invictus Game Station.
What I'm proudest of is the community itself. It grew a culture of its own: a very active one, inclusive by design, and home to everyone from casual players to regional pros. We grew to 700+ members, with a volunteer staff running watch parties for every set, socials, online tournaments, a teaching series and Toronto's first TFT LANs.
The wider TFT scene took notice. Pro players wanted to work with us, and we partnered with Riot Games on prizing and support, from Little Legend codes to merch. We were one of the key partners handing out the tarot cards Riot made for Set 12, and we gave away over $2,000 in prizes along the way. In January 2025 we ran the Team Throwdown, an online 4v4 tournament that was part of Riot's second NA subregional.
For our first anniversary in August 2024, we commissioned three local artists to draw the community.
Toronto's first TFT LAN, and the first 4v4 draft battle, at TMU's Red Bull Gaming Hub on March 9, 2024. Regional pros Kiyoon, Wasianiverson, Guubums and Pitzy each drafted a team of four, and Team Pitzy won.
It sold out with 70+ people in the room, drew 2,000+ viewers online and picked up 200K+ social impressions.
Tactics Fight Club: the first 8v8 regional crew battle, run with Gangly and Tristate Tactics. After two months of online qualifiers, it sold out at Invictus Game Station on May 11, 2024 with 50+ paid attendees and averaged 3,600 viewers. Toronto won by 4 points over 6 games.
Our online 4v4 tournament with Riot Games, January 24–26, 2025, and part of Riot's second North American subregional for TFT. Teams of four signed up together and played it out over three days.
I'm the production manager for the GG Orchestra, a Bay Area nonprofit ensemble that plays video game, anime and film music in concert halls and community spaces.
Legends After Dark was the orchestra's Herbst Theatre debut, on August 30, 2026, with Sudo Choir. It sold out, and I led all of the show's operations: back of house, front of house and show logistics.
Day to day I run the orchestra's operations and logistics, including its community Discord. More shows are on the way.
